The Sorority
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded on the campus of Howard University on January 16, 1920. As a result of the encouragement of Charles Robert Taylor and A. Langston Taylor, members of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.,
Arizona Cleaver united with Pearl Neal, Myrtle Tyler, Viola Tyler, and Fannie Pettie to bring into fruition a great sisterhood founded on the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love, and Finer Womanhood. Furthermore, Zeta Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma share a unique bond as the only constitutionally bound greek-lettered organizations.
Today, this dynamic service organization extends to over 800 chapters with over 100,000 members worldwide.
